Seychelles is a group of islands in the Indian Ocean. They are located northeast of Madagascar.

Capital: Victoria

Currency: Seychelles Rupee

Languages: English and French (official), Creole

Seychelles is an archipelago of about 115 islands. Mahé is the largest island of them, it is 24 km long. The capital of the Seychelles is called Victoria and is located on Mahé. The second largest of the inner Seychelles islands is Praslin, with a length of about 14 km, the third largest is La Digue. Far to the south lies the Aldabra Atoll, which is the largest atoll in the world. is about the same size as Mahe but consists of 4 islands, the largest of which is larger than Praslin. On all ‘inner’ Seychelles islands are beautifully shaped granite rocks that blend beautifully into the landscape, crystal clear water that has bathtub temperatures of about 28°. Snorkeling and diving are a must. The ‘outer’ islands like Aldabra, Amiranten are coral islands (similar to the Maldives). If you are interested in a Seychelles trip, you should have some money ready. It’s not quite a cheap vacation. There is no all inclusive here, unless you are on an island with only one hotel, which will then cost accordingly.
